About Miss Global Nigeria
Miss Global Nigeria is affiliated to the international pageantry project, Miss Global International which is originally a Jamaican baby. It kicked off as Miss Commonwealth International in the Caribbean Island before the organizers succumbed to the name, Miss Global International to accommodate non-Commonwealth nations. The lucky winner of the annual beauty pageant represents Nigeria at the International show every year. Miss Global Nigeria is duly registered under the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The company aims at revolutionalizing the pageantry world with a view to exposing the country’s tourism potentials.
The franchise for the international edition was given to one of Nigeria’s event’s iconoclasts, top-rate journalist of international repute and the publisher of Famous Enquirer, Africa’s first-ever investigative tabloid who’s also the president of Miss Global Nigeria.
The prerequisites for the Miss Global Nigeria are that of the international standard pageants. Contestants must be undergraduates or graduates of recognized institutions and must have stunning looks and gorgeous appearance with beauty and brain as added advantage.
In addition, contestants must possess the following qualifications:
a. Single and has never been married
b. Has never given birth.
c. Between 18 and 25 years of age.
d. Minimum height of 5’7”
e. Citizen of Nigeria resident or outside the country provided contestants will be available for the contest
f. Good moral character
i. Has not engaged in prostitution or any form thereof
ii. Has not participated in any obscene or x-rated exhibitions, whether print, stage, television or movies
iii. Has not been convicted of any crime.
g. Familiarity with Nigeria’s culture and Governmental/environmental concerns/problems
1) Contestant must be a citizen of Nigeria
2) Contestant must be between the ages of 18-25 years
3) Each contestant must be able to perform a talent: sing, dance or act for no longer than 2 minutes
4) Contestant must upload a professionally photographed picture in Swimwear (full) and one face to waist in clothing of choice
5) Participants are required to provide their own Evening Gown & Swimwear (full or bikini preferably with matching wrap)
6) All participants must have a TRADITIONAL COSTUME that represents their state of origin
Participants must provide their own transportation to and from Lagos. Accommodation and transportation will be provided if they make the screening by the Pageant Director during the period of the event.
7) Contestants must take other clothing for special appearances – courtesy calls (day suit) evening cocktail attire, swimwear, casual day wear etc.
Hair and make-up will be provided by the pageant organizers, but if contestants prefer to do their own – No problem
Sashes with name of state will be provided by pageant organizers.
Aside representing the country at Miss United Nations pageant in Jamaica, the lucky winner gets a Honda Civic car, modeling contracts and annual salary of One Million Naira (N1,000,000) including a trip to the international host country, Jamaica while the first runner-up gets N500,000 annual salary and a latop; and second runners-up N250,000 salary and a laptop in addition to going for other international pageants like Most Beautiful African Girl in Ireland and Miss Malaika, UK.
Contestants who do not satisfy all requirements spelt out under Eligibilityand Requirements will automatically be disqualified.
